We specialise in large, bespoke timber platforms, pallets and crates.
Our team will work alongside you to fully understand your requirements. Using our PDS software, combined with our product knowledge and design experience, we will offer you a range of options that fulfil your commercial, logistical, sustainability and safety requirements.
There are several different pallet designs to choose from depending on your pallet needs and the industry standards, we’ll be able to match you with the correct pallet.
Stringer Pallet, 2 & 4-Way Entry
A stringer pallet consists of stringer boards running between the top and bottom deck boards, the top boards can come in open or closed deck variations depending on your requirements. This style of pallet can come in two designs; 2-way entry or 4-way entry, this simply refers to the number of entry points the pallet has to be lifted and moved by a forklift.
Heavy Load Pallet
This is one of Timber Factory’s most popular style of pallets. Similar to stringer pallets (seen in section 2.1) but constructed with higher load bearing materials allowing for heavier payloads. This pallet only comes in a 2-way entry design with a large variety of sizing, ranging from 1,050 – 13,550mm in runner length and 670 – 2,120mm in deck board length.
Extra Heavy Load Pallet
This is the strongest style of pallet on offer here at Timber Factory LTD. With the top and bottom boards constructed of the same 95 x 70 mm (Height x Width) material. These pallets can come fixed with standard nails or assembled using bolts as a heavy-duty option.
Block 4-Way Entry Pallets
These pallets are popular for there 4-way entry, allowing forklifts access on all four sides. They typically consist of 6+ blocks in the centre of the pallet which the top and bottom deck boards are then fixed to. Depending on your requirements these pallets are available in EUR-Pallet standardizations.
Block 4-Way Entry, Three Leg Pallet
As seen from the image below a three-legged pallet Is a medium weight, economical version of the standard block 4-way entry pallet.
Crates
We also design and manufacture Crates. similar to Pallets, these can come in a large variety of sizes and designs to fit your needs. Typically built with a more heavy-duty pallet as the crates base.
Pallet Collars
Pallet Collars are a modern and efficient replacement for traditional wooden boxes. They can offer the perfect solution to storing, packaging and shipping products. They are constructed of metallic hinges and wooden planks, this allows them to be collapsible giving them their main advantage. Looking at fig.2.8 Below we can see they simply stack on top of a pallet and when they are not in use, they can be collapsed, saving space.
Top Deck Board Design
Choosing the correct top deck board design, dimensions & spacing is crucial for safely transporting products from A to B. What will determine the top deck variables is the product/s the pallet will be carrying. Depending on the product/s volume, mass and design we can help choose the correct pallet for your product.
